Is it a bad thing when you find yourself disappointed when a package of happiness isn't awaiting you at the front door when you come home from work?
Think 1950's when women waited for their hubby's with a cocktail upon ending his work day...
OR
Is is bad when FedEx knows your name and address by heart?
I would like to appologize to my visa and fedex man for over working you, but I miss my happy face at 5:30...I would appreciate if you could fulfill just a couple of days o joy a week.
Thank you

of a Lifetime
So this huge fancy new gym called Lifetime moved across the street from me.
Literally can hop, skip, and jump there, no need to drive (don't be crazy, I still do)
I have been reluctant to join because my terrible (and by terrible I mean no mats...gak, they expect me to soil my body on their nappy sweat infested floor!!?) broken machine gym only cost me $20 a month and Lifetime wants me to pay a ginormous fee!
Well my all but skinny and in shape pops decided he needed to join a gym and "get in shape" so he said he would *gasp* PAY for me to join fancy said gym if I would go with him.
Don't mistake this innocent angel face for a fool...YES sputted out!
Yesterday, I went for the first time to supersized workout station and let's just say it is like a mini slice of heaven in there mixed with a whole lotta EYE CANDY!
Best investment of my money ever! (oops, did I say "my"?)
Can't wait to go back today! If you can't find me, check the Eucalyptus room, the olympic size pool, the whirlpool, or pilates room...I'll never be home again.

Must Love Corn
I love the saying "When the hell did I eat corn?!"
(It is really quite funny and entertaining for anyone with a 12 year old mind)
I love CORN and all its yumness.
Mix it in your Hamburger Helper or mash potatoes...straight from the can, creamed, casseroled, frittered, cajuned, cobbed, caked or soufled; roasted, sweetened, scalloped, souped and popped! In a salad or in a dip
Oh I love corn so.
I do not like candy corn or cornbread OH NO.
**Since I have eaten corn 3 out of the last 4 days, yes that is normal, added to my list of potential marriage specs..."must love corn"**

9021-OH, the original Beverly Hills
Dylan, Kelly, Brenda, Brandon, David, AND Donna (Martin will Graduate!)
I am just saying...
Is it sad, that this show I was not allowed to watch in high school but so successfully sneaked in EVERY Wednesday night (thank you small feet with a toe that fit just right on the actual tv buttons, I don't need no stinkin' remote!)
When I went to college the trend continued. We watched it religiously every Wednesday. I lived on the 4th floor of the dorms and some of my most favorite dorm memories is rushing down four flights of stairs during commercial breaks to discuss the OH MY GOSH moments while half the dorm puffed down their ciggies...
I moved into my first apartment and we refused to answer the phone on Wedsnesdays because "Don't you know my show is on!!??". We would laugh because our phone always seemed to "blow up" on Wed night (especially in college it was a huge go out night).
I remember the last season, going to my friend Katy's house to watch the show every week as we teared a little each passing show of the FINAL year. I mean we grew up with them! Watched them battle the parents, school, dating, drugs, disasters, etc. They were like family! We bawled the last show.
Of course there was no DVR back then or TiVO in which to record these shows you HAD to be home! So of course I am in utter love with Soap Net because every day they put my "family" back on from 4 - 6 of awesome repeats and I can flashback.

musica-101
Music holds such a place in my soul! I don't know if everyone feels that way, but it just does something to me (hence why I absolutely believe God is still working on my singing/instrument talents! All good things come with age)
I remember my first "OUR" song! Amazed, by Lonestar because it was the first time he said "I love you and this song makes me think of you" (ahhh cute! tear)
My favorite summer was the whole Beatie Boys, License to Ill CD. My BFF and I would drive around our hoppin little po-dunk town jamming to that CD all the while blowing the speakers in my car (because we were cool like that and about the be seniors, duh).
Getting my first job, a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA, Fugee's Killing me Softly was playing in the background (I almost think it is weird I remember this but uh, hello! I was so exited about the tan I was fixing to get).
Sarah McLachlan's "I will Remember You" will always burn the falling of Bonfire at A&M into a very sad time.
My new obsession is Shinedown. First and foremost because he sings "Simple Man" better than Lynard Skynard (shhhh...don't tell I betrayed, Lynard *** Skynard!) He has this voice and although it appears most his music is written about an addiction to drugs and his struggles and loss, I find his stuff so pretty. I'm crazy like that.
And through the MANY a songs not listed here...I still cry every time I hear Amazed or crank my stereo up for some Beastie Boys, that without most likely wouldn't be an embeded memory.
The latest song that has become a part of life is "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri (conveniently sister of ex-shinedown member). Sometimes I get a lot sappy! This song really does hold a place in my life right now. Several of my friends and myself are all going thru a time where it seems what we thought would "be" now merely seem to be more of the rise of playing with hearts. I have always been a believer in complete honesty in how I am feeling. I don't like to be controlled or told what to do and I usually don't date this type of person...but I also loathe and hate liars or people who tend to mess with your heart and head. So this song is perfect. www.myspace.com/christinaperri
sample corus:
Who do you think you are,
running around leaving scars,
collecting your jars of hearts,
and tearing love apart.
You're gonna catch a cold,
from the ice inside your soul,
so don't come back for me,
don't come back at all.
Sad isn't it? someone could be that open in music because I don't think that lyrics are able without a reason. Someone wrote these lyrics from being broken. Just like lyrics are written for the sappy, the funny, the whatever. I believe every song (ok, not every song) has a rhyme or reason for it's existance. Lost love, breaking heart, falling in love, seeing a beautiful sight, experiencing an overwhelming moment, etc.
Just in case you're wondering: Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, Kate Voegelle, Rob Thomas (Matchbox Twenty), Adele, Daughtry, Dixie Chicks (even post outburst), and a lot more are some of my favorites.

I need to feel spunky. Need to do something to bust me out of the mood and over the hump and get my mind on something (before I visit crazy town) so here is how the weekend went...
Chopped all my hair off...Went to birthday dinner and then out with some ladies for girls night...
Chopped all my hair off...Went to birthday dinner and then out with some ladies for girls night...
Kaia got crazy frisky...
Decided I needed "GO BIG" weekend so tried to russle up a pool party. That failed, miserably.
Got wild hair and within 10 minutes planned a road trip to College Station & boarded dog.
We pretended we were in college trying to stir trouble...woke up on the couch on the that happened to belong to my ex boyfriend (it's really an entertaining story), and got taken on a lovely boat adventure!
I think the new do, getting all gussied up and acting a fool is just what the shrink might have ordered! (now if I can just figure out how to get my hair done in under 30 minutes!)

Yes! I'm naturally blonde!!!!
I have a brand new car. And by brand new I mean a 2009...made in America, comes with all the bells and whistles a girl could ever dream of (I mean really this car does it all, why do I need a man?)
So with all these nifty bells and whistles like a car that shouts "EMPTY" a bazillion times, offers to locate nearest gas stations, and so very much more...one might find it hard to believe I was just seconds from sputtering to a disasterous halt (and by disaster I mean it was pouring! and I don't like to get wet...let's face it I WILL melt).
(do NOT I repeat do NOT let that 76 degrees fool you! This is Texas for crying out loud and it might as well have read 90 with the humidity! This is an all time low for July)
It has been pouring now for what seems like forever...granted it only rains when I get home from work, but still...here is a pitiful face to leave you with as she so lovingly has given me her take on this rain for the last 2 hours!
